Our practice is growing! Javery Pain institute is currently seeking a full time Interventional Pain Physician to join our busy practice. Javery Pain Institute has a committed team of physicians and advanced practice providers with one goal in mind,” to greatly improve quality of life for those suffering from chronic pain”. Our multidisciplinary team of physicians and providers offer treatment options that are personalized for each patient with the understanding that no two patients are alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Outpatient consultations and follow up evaluations
  • Pharmacologic management of pain and related conditions
  • Interventional skills that include:
    • Medial Branch Blocks
    • Epidurals
    • Facet Injections
    • Transforaminal injections
    • Intra laminar injections
    • Radio frequency ablations
    • Trial and permanent neuromodulation

Qualifications:

MD/DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine

Possess a valid DEA license

Eligibility for unrestricted Michigan Medical Licensure

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

General Description

Under the direction of the RN Administrative Manager/ RN, and Physician, the Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of tasks at Javery Pain Institute. Assists physicians with patient care and follow up providing direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting. Duties include, but not limited to, interviewing patients , obtaining vital signs, preparing patients and assisting  physicians with patient exams/procedures, and/or treatment. Continuing responsibilities including charting and clerical work as necessary to oversee phone prescriptions and refills to pharmacies. Additionally, the LPN will perform triage with patient phone calls to identify emergent and non-emergent situations.

LPN’s will have the opportunity to perform injections under the direction of the physician and supervising Registered Nurse staff for the clinic.  The LPN must work collaboratively with the administrative support staff/radiology staff in support of direct patient service, exhibiting flexibility and a “can do” attitude. Patient services are a key priority in the position requiring the LPN to serve as a point of contact with internal and external departments, all with the goal of fostering an environment which promotes patient comfort and trust. The position must exemplify the core goals and mission of the company, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy and tact in patient staff interaction.

Qualifications

      1. Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentially under HIPAA.
      2. Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills; cultural sensitivity and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people.
      3. Intermediate to advanced phone skills; able to effectively relate via telephone and in person to serve the needs of the clinics patients/clients/visitor in a manner that is efficient and productive.
      4. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Proven flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks.

 

Education and Experience

      1. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
      2. BLS/CPR/ACLS certified and licensed in the state of Michigan.

RN (Registered Nurse)

The Javery Pain Institute provides advanced pain management in a practice that places a premium on compassionate care and respect for the individual. We provide effective therapy that restores hope and well-being to those struggling with chronic pain—including severe and resistant pain—and those who are affected by their struggle—families, friends, employers, and others who depend on them. Our goal is to eliminate our patients’ pain, decrease the frequency and intensity of intractable pain, increase their ability to function, and empower them with a good understanding of their diagnosis and their treatment. We take a patient centered, multi-disciplinary approach, crafting solutions that often combine advanced medical intervention with other promising therapies—physical, occupational, behavioral, and more—to create lasting, effective relief from pain.

Essential Functions include but not limited to:

      • Demonstrates relevant knowledge and skills in providing patient care in relation to professional standards and established policy and procedures
      • Manage patients’ admission processes to preoperative area
      • Ensure that operative and informed consents are in order
      • Use universal protocols and time out procedures.
      • Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff
      • Recognize potential complications of Sedations/Analgesia for each type of agent being administered.
      • Assess patients’ condition after a procedure has been performed
      • Answer patients’ questions and ensure that they are kept comfortable
      • Develop individualized care plans based on each individual patient’s condition
      • Ensure that the all nursing activities are carried out in accordance to individual patient care plan

 

Qualifications

Education: Preferred graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, preferably with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

 

Certification/Licensure:

      1. Current Michigan State Nursing License.
      2. CPR certification for Health Care Providers.
      3. ACLS Certification

 

Experience:

      1. Minimum two (2) years nursing experience, preferably in an

Ambulatory based/ procedure/operating room setting.
