RN (Registered Nurse)

 

Under the direction of the RN Administrative Manager(s), and Provider(s), the RN performs a variety of tasks at the Javery Pain Institute.

Essential Functions include but not limited to:

  • Demonstrates relevant knowledge and skills in providing patient care in relation to professional standards and established policy and procedures
  • Manage patients’ admission processes to preoperative area
  • Ensure that operative and informed consents are in order
  • Use universal protocols and time out procedures
  • Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff
  • Recognize potential complications of Sedations/Analgesia for each type of agent being administered
  • Assess patients’ condition after a procedure has been performed
  • Answer patients’ questions and ensure that they are kept comfortable
  • Develop individualized care plans based on each individual patient’s condition
  • Ensure that the all nursing activities are carried out in accordance to individual patient care plan

 

Qualifications:

Education: Preferred graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, preferably with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current Michigan State Nursing License
  • CPR certification for Health Care Providers
  • ACLS Certification

 

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years nursing experience, preferably in an Ambulatory based/ procedure/operating room setting
